About the Administration

We have a collective responsibility for integration, labour market, education, and employment issues affecting our municipality's residents. The administration is also responsible for the School of Culture, catering, and fulfills tasks for the medical and psychological parts of student health services in municipal preschool classes, primary schools, adapted primary schools, upper secondary schools, and adapted upper secondary schools. About Prästholmsskolan

Prästholmsskolan is a centrally located school for grades F-6 with approximately 250 students. We have three after-school care units where children receive instruction before and after the school day. The school has parallel classes in each grade with a relatively high staff density and is organized into work teams: F-3, 4-6, and after-school care. At Prästholmsskolan, different knowledge and experiences meet to shape ideas and thoughts about the future. The school's main goal is for our students to encounter teaching that is language-developing, based on cooperation, and characterized by a studious atmosphere. Learning from each other in a multicultural context is a great asset at our school. Our shared vision is to equip our students with good social competence as well as knowledge and strategies that lead to continued academic success. Job Responsibilities

As a safety pedagog (Trygghetspedagog) with us, you will be part of the work team for grades 4-6 and the school's student health team. You will have close collaboration with your colleagues. Together with the safety pedagog for grades 1-3, you will actively work to create security and a studious atmosphere in our operations by being present during breaks, building relationships with students, and supporting them in their social interactions. The assignment includes promoting and preventive work where you, when needed, enter classrooms to work on conflict management, group processes, and social interaction. The assignment also includes investigating incidents and offenses and providing feedback to students, guardians, and colleagues. In some cases, you may act as a mentor for a few students, in which role you are responsible for communication with the students' guardians. The assignment involves being a good role model for our students and creating good conditions for learning both in the classroom and during breaks. During parts of the day, you will also contribute to the after-school care activities.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in behavioral science/social work or social pedagogy. You have experience working with children and young people as well as an interest in physical activity and movement. It is an asset if you have experience as a leader within the association movement. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

Please attach a teaching license or degree certificate. An extract from the criminal register must be presented before employment in preschool and primary school.
