Our Activities

On June 6th and 7th, just before the end of the school year and in connection with National Day, Värmdö Municipality is organizing a festival in Gustavsberg Harbor.

This year, Värmdö Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary, and the municipality wants to use the jubilee to strengthen the event's local anchoring and establish it as a recurring event for and with the residents of Värmdö. The implementation of the festival aligns with the municipality's Vision 2045, for a Värmdö characterized by the archipelago's unique cultural heritage, sustainable development, and an active and meaningful life for all residents.

The festival is organized by the Culture and Library Unit within the Culture and Leisure Office and is planned in collaboration with local associations, cultural actors, businesses, and municipal operations. Cooperation will also take place with the project “Värmdö's Summer Walking Street” to enhance the overall experience and accessibility in Gustavsberg Harbor.

Your Mission

Värmdö Municipality is seeking a project manager for the spring of 2026. As a project manager with a scope of 25%, you will plan, coordinate, and implement the Värmdö Festival. The work will be done together with an official from the unit and in close collaboration with associations and businesses. The assignment also includes responsibility for budget, permit applications, and safety planning, as well as financial follow-up, evaluation, and reporting.

Your Experience

We see that you have solid experience in organizing large public events, primarily festivals in municipal management.

It is highly meritorious if you have previous experience with permit processes and safety work.

As a person, you are stable, have good collaboration skills, can see the big picture, and are structured.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
