The Education Administration is responsible for all activities within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school care, high schools, and adult education.

TINGVALLASKOLAN is a school that is growing and making significant strides in meeting future opportunities and challenges. We are a K-9 school and are growing with 540 students. Tingvallaskolan has two parallel classes and includes a preparatory class as well as a resource unit focused on students with language vulnerability. Currently, 460 students attend the school. We have students from all corners of the world, enriching our school.

Our school was completed in the autumn of 2022 and offers learning environments designed for teaching and inviting learning. We have the forest close to the school and also Märsta's sports field, which is utilized during the school year to increase physical activity among our students.

At the school, dedicated and competent staff work together in a continuously ongoing collegial learning environment. At Tingvallaskolan, we can and want to drive school development at a high level, and our vision is: "Tingvallaskolan, a school for everyone's safety and success where everyone takes responsibility together," which we also strive to convey in everything we do. We have a strong focus on knowledge, but at the same time, we prepare our students to meet the future, both academically and socially. JOB DESCRIPTION

As a school librarian, you will work in a school library team alongside one or two teachers. Your task is to creatively and systematically make the school library accessible to the school's students and staff. You are also tasked with collaborating with the school's educators to create a systematic and classroom-near operation to promote reading in teaching and build students' media and information literacy. You have a special responsibility to strengthen the school's reading culture and promote students' reading motivation in collaboration with school management and staff. You are expected to meet the diverse needs of students, collaborate with various professional groups within the school, and constantly strive to improve the operations within the framework of the school's systematic quality work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent. Previous experience as a school librarian or in another role within the school sector is an advantage.

You are creative, inspiring, and think constructively based on conditions and needs. You recognize the value of and have strategies for building good relationships with both students and staff. You are cooperative and smoothly and unpretentiously find common paths forward. You are persistent and can maintain focus on long-term strategic goals while resolving situations in an intense everyday environment. Above all, we are looking for someone driven by the ability to positively influence every young person's life.
