Vibyskolan is a F-9 school with 330 students and about 50 staff members located in the quiet area of Viby, within walking distance to Järvafältet. We are a school with high merit scores and 100% of our teachers are certified. We uphold norms and values and work with outdoor education, events, and activities across class and subject boundaries. We cater to families in Sollentuna who want a well-functioning school. Our operations are characterized by small-scale and varied teaching. Digital tools are used naturally in teaching by both educators and students, where every student has their own digital aid. We actively work to prevent bullying and to strengthen students' self-esteem. One aspect of this work is that we have scheduled values education every week in all our classes.

We are now looking for a librarian for 20% who has a degree in library and information science or another relevant academic degree, and it is an advantage if you have experience from previous work in schools.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for you, a positive and engaged school librarian who wants to strengthen students' language development through close collaboration with teachers in the classrooms and on-site in the library. You actively work to develop students' language skills with reading promotion projects, strengthen students' reading culture, and promote reading motivation. Together with the school's educators, you will also work to introduce students to information retrieval and source criticism.

You are flexible and have good collaboration skills and take initiative. You should be solution-oriented, responsible, and positive. You have an inclusive and inspiring working method and a strong commitment to students, and you are interested in developing the work and improving the quality of the operations.

Vibyskolan was established in 1999 and is owned by the Vibyskolan Economic Association (VEF). Any profits are reinvested in the operations. The governing body consists of a parent board, and the path to decision-making and development is short.
