Dramaten's technical department is tasked with enabling the visions for the theater's operations at the highest professional level. On the Small Stage, 16 technicians work. We produce 5-6 new productions per season, conduct reprises, host guest performances, and have events such as talks and concerts.

The Lighting Manager's task is to provide lighting technicians and designers with the right conditions for their work on the productions we produce and perform. In pre-production, you work closely with the lighting designer and stage manager on solutions, planning, and follow-up.

You lead the lighting technical work on stage. You keep the lighting technicians updated with information about productions and identify needs for skills development. Together, you are responsible for ensuring that documentation is up to date, troubleshooting, and planning maintenance.

You participate in planning purchases and investments so that our basic rig can perform as expected in the productions.

• Solid experience with lighting designs and visualizations – we work with Vectorworks and Capture.

• Good knowledge of lighting console systems – we work with MA3.

• Good knowledge of lighting equipment and a genuine interest in exploring new technology and methods.

• Experience working with video in stage production.

You enjoy communicating in multiple directions and working in a team with artistic staff and technicians. You have a good ability to work independently and take responsibility for your tasks.

The position is a fixed-term full-time employment until December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension or transition to permanent employment. The work as a lighting manager is mainly performed during the day, with evening and weekend work occurring. Start date is according to agreement.

Dramaten is a member of the employer organization Swedish Stage Arts and has collective agreements with Scen & Film, DIK, and the Musicians' Union.
