"The best part of being a driving examiner is when I get to say: Congratulations, your driving has been approved, and to see the relief and smile on the customer's face after all their hard work to achieve their goal." says one of our employees. We are now looking for professional drivers with a license for bus (D/DE) and/or truck (C/CE) to Södertälje, Farsta, Upplands-Väsby, Uppsala, or Eskilstuna.
Professional drivers! Do you want to work with driving licenses? Job Responsibilities
In the role of driving examiner, you will utilize your skills and professional knowledge. Are you ready to make a difference in people's lives? As a driving examiner (traffic inspector) at the Swedish Transport Administration, you have a unique opportunity to contribute to a safer traffic environment in Sweden.
As a driving examiner, you play a key role where you conduct nine driving tests a day and assess whether the license applicant has the knowledge and skills needed to pass the test and become a safe driver on our roads. You will assess driving tests for passenger cars (B) as well as buses (D/DE) and/or trucks (C/CE).
You work independently and meet many different people every day. Your friendly demeanor and ability to make decisions in stressful situations are crucial for creating a safe atmosphere during the test. As a driving examiner, you also have a governmental assignment, which means you need to explain and communicate decisions in a simple and clear manner after each driving test. This also means that you value diversity and respect every individual, regardless of background.
Your journey begins with a one-year paid basic training, and thereafter additional qualifications will be gradually added. Since you will handle a lot of information, your ability to absorb and convey theory is important. As part of the recruitment process, you will conduct a driving test. It is important that you are aware that the requirements for your driving are higher than for someone taking their driving test. Since you will be assessing other drivers' traffic safety, you need to demonstrate safe, stable, and well-developed driving skills where you handle both traffic and complex situations correctly.
"The Swedish Transport Administration feels like a secure employer. It feels good that they invest in me so that I can succeed in my profession and take care of our customers." says one of our new employees.
Please note that this advertisement covers several locations; it is important that you indicate which location(s) you are applying for, as your application will be assessed based on those locations.
Additional InformationMore locations beyond the regular placement location are included, travel is typically day trips and rarely involves overnight stays. To complete your application, you must attach a CV, a copy of your diploma (at least high school diploma or equivalent), and a copy of your driver's license (front and back); supplements can be made via My Career page, but no later than the last application date. In this recruitment, a driving test will be conducted both in a car and a truck and/or bus as part of the selection process. Please read more about training weeks, what the position entails, and what you need to consider before the driving test at: Work as a driving examiner - www.trafikverket.se. We primarily use email (from the address: [email protected]) for sending out information and invitations. Please check your inbox and also your spam folder regularly during this time to ensure you receive all information from us! To be permanently employed after the trainee position, you must pass the examinations that occur continuously during the training.
