Your Responsibilities

We are now looking for substitutes who want to be part of our dynamic operations and who wish to help create the best conditions for learning. As a substitute, you will work as a teacher or childcare worker in class and/or in after-school care.

The assignment includes teaching, documentation, quality and safety work, planning, parent contacts, and more. As a substitute, you will work in class and be responsible for the subjects and the class during school hours, or in after-school activities/as a resource. You will be part of the team responsible for developing teaching and operations through collegial collaboration. Through a good familiarity with the school's governing documents and through clear leadership, you will work towards good goal fulfillment for all students.

Tornhagsskolan is a school close to the city in pleasant green surroundings. Here, there are preschool classes, grades 1-9, and after-school activities. We are proud to be a school where students feel safe and seen.

Who You Are

To work as a childcare worker, we are looking for someone who has a qualification as a childcare worker from adult education or has completed the Child and Leisure Program in high school. To work as a teacher, we are looking for someone with a teaching license authorized to teach in grades F-6 or 7-9, or someone who has completed a teacher education program for grades F-6 or 7-9. Alternatively, you may be in the final stages of your teacher education for grades F-6 or 7-9.

It is an advantage if you have experience working with children in curriculum-driven activities as an employee, through internships, or voluntarily.

Furthermore, it is a requirement that you have good communication skills in spoken and written Swedish. This is necessary for you to organize and carry out work in a way that supports the child's language and communication development according to the curriculum (Lgr22). You are responsible for ensuring that each child can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

In your role as a substitute, you should be a good role model. You have the ability to collaborate well with the contacts that occur in your professional role, adapted to the situation. In the role of a substitute, it is also important that you as a person take initiative and responsibility in activities and tasks that occur in the operations. Since you are booked according to the needs of the operations, this means that one day is rarely like the other, and we therefore believe that you are a person who is flexible and can easily adapt to new operations/work environments and group constellations.
