Do you want to make a difference for students who are struggling in school?

With us, you can make an important difference and help make Linköping a better place. Welcome to us!

Your Responsibilities

Your starting point as a teacher is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and values-based work according to the curriculum. The work is sometimes done independently but mostly in close collaboration with colleagues. All teaching at the Resource Schools takes place together with other teachers and resource educators, which means collaborating on lesson planning and serving as a resource during each other's classes. There is another teacher at the school who teaches the same subjects, with whom you will closely plan and collaborate.

As a teacher, you view the entire school day of the student as important, and therefore you collaborate with both guardians and colleagues regarding the student. As part of this, the school's and after-school care's activities also collaborate to achieve a higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You start from the student group you meet and are expected to create varied, adapted, and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.

You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection at both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit students' learning, as well as your own and the development of the organization, you take advantage of the experiences and knowledge of different professions.

This position involves teaching mathematics and science in one of our groups at the resource school Kärnpunkten. The school has a total of 11 student places, and the students are divided into two groups.

Your Workplace

The Resource Schools with NPS focus consist of six primary schools for grades 1-9 for students with action plans who need extra support in their school development, socially and pedagogically. The goal is for the student to have adapted conditions for a functioning school experience in a smaller context.

The schools operate in smaller groups with high staff density, where there is also an opportunity to practice social interaction. The staff supports guardians in their parenting and collaborates with various authorities and individuals in the student's/family's vicinity. At the different schools, educators meet students in their own premises. Teaching is conducted based on each student's conditions and needs, where students are offered all subjects. Students are met by clear, safe, and stable adults. The work teams have mixed competencies with both teachers and resource educators. We work closely with the students and start from the needs that arise.

The Resource Schools are an inspiring organization where there are great opportunities to continue developing the Resource Schools' working methods to be at the forefront, together with colleagues. We offer a job that is based on a student-centered approach, which means we place great importance on creating teaching that is based on students' curiosity and conditions.

We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference for students who are struggling in school, enjoys working in a team close to colleagues, and likes to find creative solutions to challenges.

Who You Are

Primarily, we are looking for someone who has a teaching license with qualifications to teach mathematics and science in grades 4-6. Alternatively, we are looking for someone who has completed teacher training for grades 4-6 or is in the final stages of their teacher education for grades 4-6.

It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-based school through practice or as an employee. It is an advantage if you have taught in grades 4-6 for at least one school year. Furthermore, it is highly meritorious if you have worked in special education groups, adapted primary schools, resource schools, or have other experience with students with NPF or challenging behavior.

In your role as a teacher in grades 4-6, you have a good understanding of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish. This is necessary for you to organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development according to the curriculum (Lgr22). You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

As a teacher in grades 4-6, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and allow them to participate in shaping the teaching.
