Region Östergötland operates three schools, which are gathered under the Regional Development Committee.

Vreta Education Center is located just outside Linköping, Himmelstalund Education Center is located in Norrköping, and Lunnevads Folk High School is situated between Vikingstad and Mantorp.

At Vreta Education Center, the Agricultural Program offers specializations in agriculture, horse management, and forestry, as well as the Vehicle and Transport Program's transport specialization and the Vocational Driver and Nationally Recruiting Transport specialization for Recovery Drivers. National Sports Education (NIU) is offered in equestrian sports (dressage or jumping). Vocational adult education and higher vocational education are available in agriculture, horse management, and forestry. The adapted upper secondary school offers the national program Forest, Land, and Animals.

Job Description

We are looking for an instructor who will work at Vreta Education Center's school farm, instructing students in various practical as well as theoretical exercises in the workshop and in the field. You have good theoretical and practical knowledge in crop production and in the use of modern field machinery. On days when there are no students at the school farm, you will perform machine operation, maintenance, and repairs. You can independently and in collaboration with others repair and maintain primarily agricultural machinery and on-farm equipment, as well as work with building maintenance and facility management. The varying conditions of the students mean that you should be able to communicate clearly and ensure that the message gets through. Working with students requires you to be secure, stable, and self-aware. You see relationships in their proper perspective, distinguishing between the personal and the professional. You are part of a team and collaborate, able to work well with others, listen, and communicate.

About You

You have agricultural education and practical experience, with good experience in operating field machinery. A driver's license (B) is a requirement.

Previous work with youth and adults in a learning environment is an advantage. You have order and safety awareness.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability to perform the above-described tasks. This means that you enjoy meeting young people at different levels and can lead and motivate them to want to develop. You have good collaboration skills and a good sense of order.

You have a burning interest in crop production and technology, as well as good experience in operating field machinery within agriculture.
