Your tasks

As a teacher with us, you have a holistic perspective on the student's day. Your main task is to plan, implement, and evaluate teaching for students in grades 4–6. The main teaching takes place in Swedish and mathematics. Depending on your qualifications, English and science may also be included in the position.

In your role, you are expected to:

• Focus on knowledge and development: We place great emphasis on students' reading development in Swedish and problem-solving in mathematics. We actively work to meet all students based on their different abilities so that each child can reach their full potential.
• Integrate current research: We are interested in school development and what research says about future learning. We welcome your contributions with your perspectives and fresh knowledge to our joint work in developing teaching.
• Work in an active mentorship: You will be part of our secure setup with three mentors for two classes. We work in parallel, which means that several colleagues share responsibility for the students together. This gives you a unique opportunity to bounce ideas and share pedagogical responsibility with experienced colleagues.
• Grow into the role: With us, you have the space to settle into your professional role and your place in the school. We care about you feeling secure in your interactions with students, guardians, and the school's organization. Your workplace

Hjulsbroskolan is a stable F-6 school with approximately 300 students, located in a nature-friendly area. We are a two-parallel school in most grades and have three after-school care departments. We have a staff of about 40 employees with high qualifications and extensive collective experience, and we are now looking forward to welcoming a new colleague who wants to contribute energy and new perspectives.

You who are applying

We are looking for someone who wants to stand firm in the classroom and enjoys working closely with your colleagues. You are confident in yourself and have a positive view of students, seeing relationship-building as a key to success in school.

First and foremost, we are looking for someone with a teaching license with qualifications to teach Swedish and mathematics in grades 4-6. Secondly, we are looking for someone with a completed teacher education for grades 4-6. Alternatively, you may be at the end of your education to become a teacher for grades 4-6. It is an advantage if you have qualifications to teach more subjects based on the needs of the operation.

It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-driven school through practice or as an employee. It is advantageous if you have taught in grades 4-6 for at least one school year. It is also advantageous if you have experience in grading or documenting students' learning during the school year.

In your role as a teacher in grades 4-6, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communication skills in spoken and written Swedish. This is so that you, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), can organize and implement work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

As a teacher in grades 4-6, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and allow them to participate in shaping the teaching. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in the community that occur in your professional role.
