Operations
The primary school/special needs school is part of the Education Administration. The operation includes 21 primary schools and a special needs school, with a total of approximately 4500 students. Five of the primary schools are secondary schools, while the others, with a few exceptions, cover grades F-6. The operation also includes after-school care.

Zederslund School
Zederslund School is a grades 7-9 school in central Motala with easy access to transportation. Our school idea:

About 330 students attend the school in 5 classes per grade. During the school day, students are often divided into different teaching groups in core subjects and modern languages. The school has a high percentage of qualified teachers and works in teams for the students' development towards higher goal fulfillment. In recent years, the school has worked on school development in collaboration with the National Agency for Education to improve teaching. The classrooms are well-equipped with projectors among other things. Students have one-to-one loaned laptops and work with TEAMS as a learning platform. Student democracy is important at the school with a well-developed student council, class councils, and library councils.
The school has a student health team that meets once a week and works on student health issues. The student health team consists of all competencies according to the Education Act and has worked in the past academic year to develop health-promoting and preventive student health work together with Karlstad University.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a special educator, you are the spider in the web to create a well-functioning and supportive student health team. You operate at the organizational, group, and individual levels with documentation for the establishment of action programs, guidance of teachers and educators based on observations of individual children, students, and groups. Contact and dialogue with guardians and other partners such as speech therapy, habilitation, and child and adolescent psychiatry.
In your professional role, you work to create the best conditions for children and students to reach as far as possible based on their circumstances, both academically and socially. As a special educator, you are an important part of developing the school's methods and operations together with the management and based on the student health team's mission. Guidance and further education of colleagues is a central part of the assignment, as well as being a support to the management in processes concerning students in need of special support. At Zederslund School, there is a special teaching group for students with special needs, in which resource persons and subject teachers are responsible for the daily work in consultation with you as a special educator. You participate in the student health team and are jointly responsible with the management for the school's organization. Experience and knowledge of students with NPF and students with intellectual disabilities are meritorious.
QUALIFICATIONS
Formal competencies:
- Teaching qualification with a special education degree.
- Experience working with secondary school students.
Personal competencies:
- Works well with others. Relates to them in a responsive and flexible manner. You can adapt and find win-win solutions through an unpretentious focus on the common goal.
- You have the resources required for change or problem-solving. You do your best by doing what you can right now. You quickly find solutions to emerging problems.
- You have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and of people's different circumstances. You adapt your way of conveying your message to the recipient.
