We at the Housing Social Unit belong to the Social Administration of Eskilstuna Municipality and are responsible for housing social apartments in Eskilstuna. The unit consists of four teams, three of which work with housing support and the fourth manages apartments. We provide supportive, motivating, and guiding assistance to adults aged 18 and above, whether single or cohabiting, with or without children. Support is given to those who have particular difficulties in obtaining and/or retaining housing. Work is carried out in collaboration with other administrations, primarily the labor market and adult education administration, but also the care and social services administration. Other important partners include resources within the municipality and external partners such as the region. The goal is for the user to obtain housing and suitable support for a functioning living situation. Conversations and meetings take place in various locations, based on the user's needs.

We operate from our office at Kungsgatan 68 and travel by car to the users. We are now looking for a support pedagogue for a permanent position and a support pedagogue for a temporary position of about one year.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of support pedagogue, you provide practical support in the home and daily life as well as supportive conversations. We coordinate meetings with various actors that the user needs to contact. This involves a lot of collaboration with financial assistance, others within the social administration, Region Sörmland, and landlords.

The work also includes documentation in Viva and writing and following up on implementation plans for the user.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained support pedagogue or has another education that we consider equivalent and has a B driver's license. You must be able to work in other people's homes where there may be pets or smoking. Being able to use digital working methods and having good Swedish in both spoken and written form is essential.

If you have experience in similar work or with the target group, we see this as a positive, as it will make it easier to learn the job. If you speak additional languages beyond Swedish/English and have studied MI, that is also beneficial.

The social administration is responsible for creating social security for children, youth, and adults. The goal is to work towards achieving social sustainability. Within the social administration, qualified and well-developed social work is conducted. The administration's work includes both authority exercise as well as treatment and supportive interventions for children, youth, adults, and families.
