Social Worker for Economic Assistance

In economic assistance, we work to assess applications for the right to economic assistance. Our job is to meet, guide, and motivate individuals seeking assistance for self-sufficiency through work or studies. As society's last safety net, we are here for those in need. We are divided into four units and work in centrally located offices near the train station. Collaboration and knowledge sharing are important to us, which is why we have organized meetings in smaller teams to discuss thoughts and questions with each other. We are always working on improvement and have a partially digitized work process and investigation procedure aimed at freeing up more time to meet people. You will be part of a cross-functional learning group with other social workers for collegial learning.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker with us, you will investigate and decide on the right to economic assistance according to the Social Services Act (SoL). You will work to support and motivate recipients of financial assistance towards studies, work, and labor market measures through the Employment Agency. You will also decide and follow up on competency-enhancing measures within the municipality's own framework.

This is an exciting and important role where you will work with assessments of the right to economic assistance. You will meet a workgroup that is very professional, has a strong client focus, and a holistic view. Here, you will have the chance to learn a lot about public authority exercise!

We are currently looking for a total of eight social workers. The positions are temporary employment, hourly employment/summer substitutes.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has completed or is currently pursuing a degree in social work or behavioral science. We prefer that you have a passed course in social law. It is a merit if you have experience in investigative work and public authority exercise, preferably within economic assistance. It is a plus if you have experience with any record-keeping system, such as Viva.
