In the autumn of 2024, we opened a new group home in Stallarholmen, and we are now looking for someone who wants to join us on the journey to create the best conditions for our residents to live and develop as they wish.

The group home Husby Tegelbruk has five apartments and is aimed at adults with disabilities. The residence is located in a secluded area on a large plot, but is also close to the center of Stallarholmen, where there are grocery stores, restaurants, and bakeries. Each apartment has its own entrance and a patio that extends towards the home's large backyard with a peaceful view of the forest and fields. The residence also has its own operational vehicle that allows us to carry out activities at locations other than the home.

In your role as a support pedagogue, you will be part of a team of four support pedagogues, and together you will support each other in the responsibility of developing the pedagogical work at the residence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a support pedagogue at Husby Tegelbruk, you, along with your colleagues, are responsible for the pedagogical work and the development of the organization's methods. You actively work to support and motivate residents in daily activities and assist each resident according to their abilities and needs. You work closely with the residents and your colleagues to support them in their tasks regarding knowledge of methods and approaches, as well as the establishment and follow-up of implementation plans.

You will ensure that our documentation is of good quality and in accordance with legislation. You will monitor developments, implement new knowledge, and practice as well as develop methods. This is to ensure that residents have a safe home environment with the right support at the right time. Care work will also be part of your duties.

Your role also includes collaborating with the individual, representatives, relatives, staff from daily activities, and other people in the person's network. You will have close cooperation with the unit manager and other support pedagogues within the entire area of operations. This is because you are also part of a network with all support pedagogues within the entire area of operations (daily activities and housing) where the network's goal is to strengthen pedagogical competence and further develop evidence-based methods for the field. Some administrative time is included in the assignment.

You will work days, evenings, and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• education equivalent to YH 200 credits support pedagogue, YH 400 credits social pedagogue or treatment pedagogue, or alternatively 60 higher education credits with a focus on disabilities, social work, pedagogy, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• at least two years of experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities and autism.
• good knowledge of current legislation regarding documentation according to LSS and the Social Services Act.
• good experience using IT/computers as a support in the work.
• strong communication skills, both spoken and written, in Swedish.
• a B driver's license and good driving experience.

It is highly meritorious if you have experience in meeting individuals who may exhibit challenging behaviors and if you have experience with TAKK.

As a person, you are engaged, responsible, and have a respectful approach. You have no problem working independently, but you also see yourself as a team player, and collaboration is a prerequisite for success. You easily encourage good performance and communicate well with colleagues and residents. You are also flexible and see solutions rather than obstacles and problems. You are pedagogical and have a knack for motivating others. Working towards goals is a given for you, and you have the ability to keep your focus on the goal even if the path there is sometimes winding. Personal suitability will be given great importance.
