Residential Support Workers with Nursing Assistant Qualifications Wanted

Do you want to help create a better everyday life for our users within LSS? We are looking for four dedicated residential support workers with qualifications as nursing assistants.

Within LSS, we work with individual support in daily life for people with various disabilities. We create conditions and tools for a meaningful and safe everyday life for our users. Their needs and desires are in focus, and you work in their home environment.

Our workplaces are Ekbacken, Kjulavägen, and Bynäsvägen. Common to these residences is that you, as a Residential Support Worker, work with adult users together with your colleagues. You will belong to a work group, and all group homes have staff and common areas. There are good bus connections to these residences and opportunities to spend time outdoors in the form of a shared patio and garden. We are now looking for staff for Bynäsvägen.

Bynäsvägen is located in the residential area of Mesta, about 5 kilometers from the center of Eskilstuna. The surrounding area has nice walking paths close to nature. The residence consists of 6 ground-floor apartments. At Bynäsvägen, work and activities are carried out, and several users have significant physical support needs and require alternative communication support (AAC). Support with lifting is involved. Staffing is generally always 4 staff members during the day and one awake night staff member.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a residential support worker with qualifications as a nursing assistant, you work in the user's home together with the person and support them in daily life across all areas of life. You provide support and are involved in rehabilitation and health care where there is a well-established team collaboration. With your commitment and expertise, you help our users develop and create a meaningful existence. You work closely with the user in their daily life and support them in activities both inside and outside the home based on their needs and interests. With the help of pedagogical guidance and individualized daily support, our goal is to contribute to increased independence, better quality of life, and health. The work involves working weekdays, evenings, and weekends. In your work, you need to be interested in learning to understand and reflect on why users act and function in different situations. You collaborate with relatives, other professional roles, and networks around the user. Medication delegation is part of the job. You work based on a pedagogical approach and working method (PFA) and follow applicable laws, guidelines, and routines. Heavy lifting is part of daily life, and you need to be prepared for that. We offer a meaningful and varied job where you make a difference every day.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a nursing assistant education. You also have experience and a strong interest in our target group with disabilities and multiple illnesses. Heavy lifting is involved, so you need to be physically strong to handle the work, even though aids are available. You have experience with medication delegation and are accustomed to documentation. Part of the job involves going swimming with users in swimming pools, so you need to be a competent swimmer and not allergic to chlorine. We require good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing to communicate effectively, manage documentation, and handle delegation correctly. If you have a PFA education, it is an advantage for the position. If you have training in lifting techniques, we see it as a positive. You collaborate with colleagues and cooperate with internal and external actors, so you should be good at building relationships in your work. You have a user focus, are attentive and flexible, and can be innovative. You value good cooperation and see development and improvement as natural parts of your daily work. You work from a rehabilitative perspective and feel secure in your role as a nursing assistant. You have a positive outlook and the ability to see the whole in your work.

Warm welcome with your application!
