Your Mission

As an Elixir developer, you belong to a unit within the Cyber Operations Department. The department has two main tasks; to help strengthen the protection against qualified IT attacks from abroad on critical societal functions in Sweden and to develop and deliver access and exploitation capabilities to the signals intelligence operations.

Your mission primarily involves working with software development. You work closely with users and design and develop new systems. You have deep knowledge of the field and also develop new methods. The work is characterized by continuous change and requires a strong interest in the field as well as a high degree of innovation. During working hours, there are opportunities for skills development and monitoring of the external environment so that you can contribute in ways that align with your knowledge and interests.

You work together with your team, but individual tasks also occur in the role. You share your knowledge and actively contribute to a good collaborative climate. Regardless of the work form, we offer a position where you will largely work independently and get to use your creativity and drive within your area of expertise.

You Can

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree comprising 300 credits in computer engineering or computer science, or another education that the employer deems equivalent
  • Work experience in software development
  • Very good knowledge of Elixir
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form

Furthermore, we consider it an advantage if you have an understanding of IT security.

The workplace is located near Drottningholm, about 10 minutes from Brommaplan. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security class. Before employment, you will be security vetted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment comes with an obligation to be placed in wartime.
