This is your mission

In the role of communications officer, you have overall responsibility for the Security Police's use of Rakel. You participate in the planning of operations and are responsible for creating communication plans, and you act as a point of contact with other authorities and organizations in communication matters related to Rakel.

An important part of your work involves knowledge dissemination, and you plan and conduct internal training within your area of operation. You work with environmental monitoring and collaborate with internal and external partners focusing on improvement and development in the area. You are the authority's primary representative for Rakel and the next generation Rakel G2 and actively participate in the development work regarding the use and procurement of equipment while keeping yourself updated in the field.

Your placement is at the headquarters in Solna, and the work is performed on-site, which means you cannot work from home. Travel within and outside Sweden occurs.

The qualifications we are looking for in you

Only those who meet the requirements below can be considered for the position.

Requirements:

· Academic education, police degree, or other education that the Security Police deems relevant for the position

· Basic knowledge of the Security Police and the operations of other law enforcement agencies

· Experience working with the communication system Rakel, regarding regulations, communication planning, infrastructure, and terminal functionality

· Very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written

· Good ability to communicate in English, both spoken and written

· Driver's license, category B

The employment requires Swedish citizenship.

As an applicant, you may also have competencies that add breadth and complementary perspectives. If you can contribute with one or more of the following, it is meritorious:

· Experience working as a communications officer in another authority

· A developed network within authorities and organizations that use Rakel

· Experience in project management

· Experience in leading and planning training

· Experience with Radio Manager 2 and Tactilon

The Security Police places high demands on security and confidentiality, so we expect you to have a high level of security awareness.

Employment conditions and benefits

Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as employment with the Security Police involves placement in a security class. Employment also requires a satisfactory result in the security screening with a background check, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act.

This is a permanent position that begins with a six-month probationary period. We apply individual salary setting. Employment comes with an obligation to be placed in a war situation.
