Responsibilities

As a senior Java developer, you will work on assignments at the client's site, usually in long-term and business-critical projects. The assignments are technically advanced and require both deep expertise and a holistic perspective. You will be a reliable technical partner and have a significant impact on the design, architecture, and quality of the solutions. You will work in environments where you are expected to take initiative, make technical decisions, and contribute strategically while being fully hands-on in the codebase. Projects often span over a longer period and include both new development and modernization of existing systems.

You will:

• Design and build scalable backend solutions and microservices-based systems

• Take responsibility for architecture, technical choices, and quality over time

• Work closely with clients and be a reliable technical partner in discussions and decisions

• Drive development work in senior teams or independently

• Contribute to a technically strong environment through knowledge sharing

Education, experience, and personal qualities

• Engineering degree in computer science, systems science, or equivalent. Alternatively, equivalent experience combined with documented technical seniority.

• At least 8 years of professional experience in system development

• At least 5 years of experience with Java or Kotlin

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

In this role, we are looking for a person with strong technical maturity and a clear focus on quality. You enjoy working hands-on while taking responsibility for the overall project. You are confident in your skills, unpretentious in collaboration, and have an easy time communicating with both technical specialist teams and the client's business sides. The role requires you to take initiative, drive issues forward, and act as a stable technical partner in complex assignments.

You have a natural curiosity and keep yourself updated on new technologies and methods, preferably with an interest in how AI tools can streamline development. Since the assignments are long-term, it is important that you appreciate continuity, responsibility, and building relationships, both with your colleagues and with the client. You are also someone who takes ownership of your work, adapts easily to different contexts, and contributes to a professional, solution-oriented, and positive atmosphere.
