Our client is now looking for a Data Protection Specialist for the Information Security and Data Protection group. As a Data Protection Specialist, you play an important role in guiding and supporting the client's information owners and operations on data protection issues to ensure that the organization complies with applicable legislation and internal guidelines.
The role is part of the Information Security and Data Protection group, which consists of 9 employees and is led by a group manager. The group is part of the Strategy & Governance section, which consists of about 50 employees. A separate group is responsible for IT Security, and both are part of the Strategy & Governance section in the IT department.
Assignment Description:
You primarily work operationally within the Data Protection function. This includes supporting information owners and the business in their work to analyze and document their personal data processing, as well as handling cases regarding the rights of data subjects. Some tactical and strategic work may also be involved in the assignment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and support to data controllers/data processors and other operations on data protection issues.
- Conduct analyses and investigations within data protection.
- Coordinate impact assessments, third-country transfer assessments, and risk assessments.
- Support the business in handling personal data incidents and other data protection events.
- Quality review data processing agreements and other relevant contracts.
- Develop privacy requirements for procurement and purchasing.
- Monitor and manage incoming cases in functional mailboxes.
- Handle cases regarding the rights of data subjects.
Requirements:
At least four (4) years of documented experience in operational data protection work, including analyses such as impact assessments (DPIA), investigations, handling of personal data incidents, review of data processing agreements, rights of data subjects, and advising the business. Experience must have been acquired in the last ten (10) years.
At least two (2) years of professional experience in independently conducting analyses and investigations within data protection, including impact assessments (DPIA), risk analyses, handling of personal data incidents, and assessments of third-country transfers. Experience must have been acquired in the last ten (10) years.
At least two (2) years of experience in providing advice and support to the business on data protection and confidentiality issues.
The consultant must have at least two (2) years of documented experience in working with data protection in public operations.
At least four (4) years of experience in handling the rights of data subjects, operational case management within data protection, and reviewing data processing agreements.
