Do you enjoy order and structure, developing workflows, and solving technical challenges for the benefit of the agency? Do you want to work with large, complex data sets from various sources? Are you a team player who thrives with many points of contact? Then this job is for you!
Responsibilities
As a senior data scientist, you are a key person responsible for the development and management of the digital infrastructure for TLV's mission regarding monitoring and regulation of dental care. You will be responsible for:
- coordinating analytical work within dental care and contributing to the follow-up of, among other things, the dental care reform and the development of a risk assessment model.
- managing and developing the dental care database in close collaboration with our analysts.
- maintaining and further developing our databases and tools together with IT and external suppliers.
- ensuring security and documentation of information flows, data, and permissions.
- acting as a contact person towards other authorities and system suppliers.
- contributing to the analytical work as well as reporting and communicating results in reports.
We expect you to have an interest in contributing analytical insights to our government assignments and developing data-driven solutions. The agency also sees an increasing need for AI, and you will be responsible for maintaining our AI applications and developing new functionalities. Other tasks within the department may also occur.
As a data scientist, you will work together with analysts and colleagues from various backgrounds, such as dentists, pharmacologists, lawyers, economists, and IT specialists.
With us, you will be part of an unpretentious team where you have the opportunity to influence and develop the digital solutions of the analysis department, thereby contributing to a dental care system that makes a difference for people across Sweden.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A university degree in data or system science or a focus on data science. Alternatively, you are an engineer, statistician, or have other education along with experience that we consider equivalent.
- At least three years of work experience as a data scientist or similar.
- Very good knowledge of R, Python, and SQL.
- Experience with version control (e.g., Git, Github, Gitlab, or equivalent).
- Experience packaging applications in Docker and deploying in a Linux environment.
- Experience in a Linux environment, including administration, logging, troubleshooting, etc.
- Experience with Shell scripting.
- Experience in database management and relevant tools.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience with machine learning and development of AI applications.
- Experience conducting quantitative analyses in the pharmaceutical, dental, or pharmacy sectors.
- Experience from a government agency or region.
As a person, you are results- and development-oriented, have strong analytical skills, and enjoy collaborating with others. You like solving problems and learning new ways of working that drive the organization forward. Since you will be working on developing the digital infrastructure of the analysis operations, you need to have good communication skills to keep the unit updated.
We value not only your skills but also your personal qualities. Your ability to be flexible, solution-oriented, and a positive force in our work environment is crucial for us. In recruitment, we place great importance on your personal abilities.
Employment Type
Permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period.
Application Deadline
We welcome your application, marked with diary number 112/2026, no later than February 1, 2026.
We work competence-based, and the recruitment process consists of a phone interview, a digital interview, and a work sample during a follow-up interview at our office. We use selection questions that are linked to the requirement profile, so you do not attach a personal letter.
