ABOUT THE POSITION

Mips' vision is to lead the world towards safer helmets. The company collaborates with the world's leading helmet manufacturers to implement Mips' safety system in helmets for everything from cycling and snow sports to motorcycles and the construction sector. As a Project Manager in the Sports category, you will join at a time when the company continues to grow and build for the future.

You will report to your immediate manager, Clas, who is responsible for the Sports category. Today, Mips is located in Täby, with over 100 employees globally, of which about 85 are in Stockholm. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

In the role of project manager, you will act as the spider in the web. You are responsible for the contact with Mips' customers and guide them through the development phase to ensure that Mips technology is implemented correctly in their new products. You will work closely with Mips engineers who carry out the technical work, but you are the one who owns the timeline and communication.

This is a fast-paced role with great variation. You will not drive a single large project, but in the long run, manage up to 35-40 smaller projects in parallel at different stages. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Project planning and follow-up: own the planning for each customer project, ensure that deadlines are met, and that the project is delivered on time (Time-to-market)
  • Resource planning: coordinate internal resources (mainly engineers) to match customer needs
  • Customer contact: act as a technical expert and advisor to the customer's design and engineering teams
  • Cost control: responsible for project budget and quoting tool costs
  • Proactive problem-solving: identify risks early and actively work to avoid problems along the way

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Has a university degree (technical focus or preferably in economics/business)
  • Has an understanding of project management and structure, likely having a few years of experience as a project manager, engineer, or project coordinator
  • Is comfortable working in an international environment, and therefore fluent in English in both speech and writing

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Good knowledge of Swedish, in both speech and writing as the language is used in daily work
  • Experience from the sports industry or consumer products
  • A personal interest in helmet sports (cycling, skiing, equestrian sports, etc.)
