Lawyer for the Child and Education Administration
Do you want to be part of developing an administration that creates good conditions for children's and students' learning? As a lawyer within the Child and Education Administration, you will play a central role in ensuring legal certainty, correct authority exercise, and legal support to the operations.
You will contribute to ensuring that decisions, processes, and working methods are based on applicable legislation and that the administration meets its legal obligations towards children, students, and guardians.
About us
The Child and Education Administration is responsible for the education of children and students. The operations include preschool and open preschool, after-school care, primary school, adapted primary school, upper secondary school, and adapted upper secondary school.
The Child and Education Administration is now looking for a lawyer for the administration department, which is responsible for placements in preschool and school, authority handling, investigations, supervision of independent preschools, admissions to adapted schools, and applications for additional funding. With your expertise and experience, you will work within your areas of responsibility but should also contribute to the department's and administration's common goals and activities.
What does the job entail?
This position includes responsibility for, among other things:
- Assisting the administration and operations in legal matters.
- Monitoring new legislation.
- Developing and conducting training for the board and operations.
- Creating routines and templates.
- Conducting investigations/producing documentation in matters within the administration's area of work.
- Providing quality assurance support in supervision cases and complaints against education.
- Drafting opinions for courts and other authorities.
- Child rights strategist.
Who are we looking for?
For the role of lawyer, we are looking for someone who is driven to contribute to a legally secure and efficient authority handling. With your expertise and experience, you will be a specialist in your area of responsibility but should also contribute to the department's common goals and activities.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Law degree.
- Current and several years of experience in qualified legal work from the public sector, including administrative law.
- Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.
- Experience working with school law at the state or municipal level.
- Experience in giving lectures and presentations.
As a person, you are confident in yourself and your professional practice. For the role, you need to be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances. You are meticulous, structured, and quality-conscious, striving to deliver high-standard results. At the same time, you are a team player who enjoys collaboration and contributes to a constructive and solution-focused work climate.
You are accustomed to and capable of working independently with many contact points, where collaboration and relationship-building are success factors. Additionally, you have strong linguistic and analytical skills, making you adept at interpreting, formulating, and adapting information in a precise and target-group-oriented manner. You have a high work capacity and the ability to independently prioritize your work.
