We are looking for a preparedness strategist who wants to strengthen Sollentuna Municipality's long-term and strategic work with crisis preparedness and civil defense.

You will be involved in driving and developing the municipality's strategic preparedness work. You will lead your own projects and processes while supporting and coordinating the work within the municipality's offices and companies. An important part of the assignment is to ensure that the entire organization has the right conditions, structures, and routines to strengthen civil preparedness.

You will also plan and conduct internal training and exercises, as well as contribute to developing the municipality's crisis management capability. The work involves many points of contact – both within the municipality and with external actors such as authorities, businesses, volunteer organizations, and the public.

The Security Unit is located at a central level and works broadly and dynamically with the operations, so you need to be curious, analytical, and confident in addressing new issues. You will be an important part of us and contribute to the whole and take responsibility for our common mission.

If necessary, you may also join the municipality's organization for officials in preparedness (TiB).

You have a background in;

• Experience working with civil preparedness, crisis preparedness, and/or security protection.
• Relevant higher education or equivalent training, preferably with a focus on risk or crisis management, security, or a related field.
• Good knowledge and a strong interest in any of the above areas.
• Very good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing.
• A valid driver's license (B) is required.

Meritorious;

• Practical experience of staff work in a crisis management organization or working with risk and vulnerability analyses.
• Experience in project management or process development within municipal operations or other public administration.

The Security Unit is responsible for coordinating and providing operational support, training, and leadership in processes related to crisis preparedness and the development of civil defense, security protection, safety work, security work, and other crime prevention efforts at a strategic level. Furthermore, the unit is also tasked with following up on the municipality's overall crisis management work and is led by the municipality's security manager. The unit also provides methodological support, coordinates, and follows up on the municipality's safety work at an overarching level in accordance with the municipality's safety policy.

As the position is classified in a security class, Swedish citizenship is required. Employment requires a satisfactory result in the security screening with a background check, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act.
