We are looking for someone who wants to work to ensure that children in Borås have a fun summer filled with new experiences, activities, and positive encounters with other children and adults.

You will be part of a dedicated team at Borås Kollo's beautiful camp by the sea in Varberg.

Borås Kollo is located right by the sea in Espevik, about 15 km north of Varberg. Based on the child's best interests, the teams at Kollo work to ensure that every child has a fun and active summer and makes new friends and experiences. Borås Kollo hosts four groups of 28 children each during the summer. Each group stays at the camp for 10 days. In each group, there are activity leaders, kitchen staff, a chef, a manager, and seasonal workers. Everyone working at Kollo lives in a staff house that is separate from the main house where the children stay, and you share a room with a colleague.

In week 25, on June 16-17, all staff at Kollo in Espevik will meet for joint training days. Each new period also starts with a day and a half for each workgroup to get to know each other, strengthen cooperation, review routines for safety and security, and create common rules for a pleasant environment.

As an activity leader, you will plan and carry out activities with colleagues and children during the days. Your tasks include everything from ensuring that the children's daily routines work to accompanying the children on excursions and hikes. In between, there will be outdoor play, reading books, creating, and of course, plenty of swimming.

As kitchen staff, you will participate in all kitchen tasks such as planning and preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner for children and staff.

All work at Kollo includes cleaning and maintaining order. At Kollo, everyone helps with what needs to be done and has fun together.

The entire Borås Kollo, including the staff building, is of course alcohol- and drug-free, and working hours are smoke-free.

As an employee, you can work up to three of the summer periods. The dates for this year's periods are: 

Group 1. 22/6-4/7

Group 2. 6/7-18/7

Group 3. 20/7-1/8

Group 4. 3/8-16/8

Working hours are Day, Evening, weekends according to schedule.

To be considered for a position at Kollo, you must be at least 18 years old and able to swim. You take responsibility for your own and the shared tasks with the best interests of the organization and the children in focus. You work in a way that creates safety for the children and your colleagues and follow workplace routines. You contribute to good cooperation and ensure that it is fun at work and have the ability to work independently.

As an activity leader, you have previous experience working with children and youth. You may be studying to become a teacher or leisure educator. Together with colleagues and children, you plan, implement, and participate in activities with enthusiasm and energy.

As kitchen staff, you have training or experience in kitchen work such as a chef, cook, or kitchen assistant, and preferably knowledge of HACCP/self-control and special diets.

You can plan and oversee the overall kitchen operations. You are flexible, unpretentious, and take responsibility for kitchen work and the shared work environment.

Knowledge of non-European languages is a merit. Experience from swimming activities is also considered a merit, especially swimming instructor training. A driver's license is desirable.
