We are looking for employees for a position as a personal assistant in Orust Municipality. Your work as a personal assistant involves providing support and care according to the needs and wishes of the assistance user. The work includes various tasks such as educational support in daily life, personal care, and common household tasks such as laundry and cooking. The tasks will also include medication management according to delegation. As an assistant, you play a central role in creating a meaningful everyday life and contributing to the assistance user's well-being and independence.

• Support and assist the user with all personal care
• Help with transfers and household tasks
• Handling of assistive devices
• Provide motivation and cognitive as well as educational support

Qualifications:

• Education as a nursing assistant or support educator is an advantage
• Experience in similar work is advantageous but not a requirement
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Good communication skills and an empathetic approach
• Driver's license is a plus

About you

To apply for a job with us, you must be at least 18 years old.

It is advantageous if you have experience in similar work as well as experience with transfer aids or lifting techniques. It is also advantageous if you are educated or have ongoing education as a support assistant, nursing assistant, or another relevant education.

Your attitude is open and positive as you have the user's/customer's needs as the starting point in your work. As a personal assistant, you work effectively under stress, can balance different demands, and remain calm in difficult situations while being able to make well-founded decisions under time pressure.
