We offer a modern working environment in central Uppsala, flexibility, and opportunities for development. Apply now and become part of our team!
Welcome to our workplace in central Uppsala!
We are located in the City Hall, right in the heart of Uppsala. Here, you have the opportunity to choose your workspace based on your specific tasks, giving you great freedom to plan your work independently. Thanks to our digitized case management process, you have the opportunity to work from home 1-2 days a week, if your tasks allow it. This provides a good balance between work and private life. We strive to be transparent towards our users and fulfill our service obligations, while also being legally secure and efficient in our case management.
Development and Support
We are constantly working on development, both personal and organizational, and you have the opportunity to contribute to this development. We work in a complex organization with occasionally high tempo, and you need to be someone who can independently plan your work to meet the needs of the organization. But you are not alone - colleagues in the unit work closely together, and the team leader is there to support you in your cases. We offer an introduction period where you will receive support from a mentor and an introduction program with training that is valuable in the role of a case officer. This gives you a good start in your new job and the opportunity to develop in your role.
Your Responsibilities
The role of a case officer is multifaceted. In your work, you will meet people with different life situations, some more complex than others.
Your responsibilities include:
- Receiving applications, investigating needs, making decisions, and following up cases in close contact with the user, relatives, and others in the user's network
- Collaborating with other administrations, authorities, and the region during discharge planning
- Informing about the authority's assignments and interventions, relevant legislation, and the user's rights
- Actively seeking information about new rulings and using legal databases to stay updated on the legal situation.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, a degree from a social care program, or another education that the employer deems relevant for the position. Experience in case management is required. The work requires good verbal and written skills in Swedish. You also need to have good computer skills.
As a person, you make decisions and act based on them, even with limited information or difficult circumstances, and demonstrate good judgment under time pressure. You communicate clearly, well-formulated, and engagingly in both individual meetings and group contexts. You are attentive and adapt to the situation. Last but not least, you plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.
