Substitute Treatment Pedagogue

Are you interested in working as a substitute and at the same time making a vital difference for vulnerable people?

Then the job as a substitute treatment pedagogue with us at SiS LVM-hem Östfora could be a meaningful challenge.

As a substitute, you will be introduced to our two units, Intake and Motivation, and you will gain an overview of the work as a treatment pedagogue, which can serve as an entry point to longer substitute positions or summer substitutes.

We have a continuous need for substitutes. In addition to your qualifications and experience, we value your flexibility. The ability to step in at short notice and work varied hours is essential.

Our working hours:
07:00-15:30
09:00-17:30
13:00-21:30
21:05-07:15 (awake night)

The goal of your assignment is to motivate our clients to new and less risky ways of living. You will help ensure that the routines in the department function as they should and play a significant role in the stability and safety of our clients. You will support clients in their daily lives with individual conversations, hygiene, cleaning, and activities. Furthermore, documentation is an important task.

As a new employee with us, you will undergo our internal introductory training that combines theory with practice. The initial introductory part lasts for two weeks from 08:00 to 15:30, Monday to Friday - you need to be able to attend these days.

Qualifications

To succeed in your work, you have a well-established positive view of people. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's values, to be a place for change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our clients. You also have good communication skills and can remain calm even in stressful situations. You find it easy to collaborate with others and can handle conflicts constructively.

The following competence requirements apply to your role:

• Treatment Pedagogue
• Degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work or a degree from a university that we assess as equivalent.
• Good Swedish in speech and writing.
• Valid B driver's license.
• Access to a car.

Experience in addiction care and/or nursing is an advantage.
