The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people and adults with substance abuse issues. SiS also implements secure youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. SiS LVM Home Östfora in Järlåsa, northwest of Uppsala, accepts men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse, combined with mental health issues. We have special expertise in medical care and are tasked with providing care for clients with specific care needs.
Job Description
As a treatment pedagogue, you will work in a team where you and your colleagues are responsible for ensuring that the clients living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you will work with qualified care and motivational work, providing support in everyday life. With your knowledge of care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the fulfillment of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work, contributing to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations.
You contribute to maintaining safety according to our routines and help ensure that daily life runs smoothly for our clients. Case management is also one of your tasks. Your work may also include mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for you who see a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job can often be demanding but is also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working hours are according to a schedule, evening and night 80%, as well as every third weekend.
As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training. The training combines theory with guided introduction and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS operations.
Qualifications
To succeed in your work, you have a solid positive view of people. You are motivated to help individuals in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's core values of being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our clients. As a person, you are self-assured and have an easy time building relationships with clients as well as with other staff members. You possess good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in pressured situations. You find it easy to collaborate with others and can handle conflicts constructively.
You should also have:
- A degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work or a degree from a university or equivalent in a related field.
- A valid B driver's license and access to a car.
- Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.
Experience in substance abuse care and nursing is an advantage.

Employment:
The positions (2 available) are permanent employment at 80% and begin with a six-month probationary period. Start date is according to agreement.
