About the position

Vår Omtanke is now seeking staff for an active boy in Gimo. We are looking for someone who wants to join this boy in everything he wants to do, such as being outdoors, riding a motorcycle, skiing, going on rides, and listening to music. The boy communicates through body language, an iPad, and sign language as he has autism and no verbal communication. As an assistant, you will help him with all daily activities such as household chores, cooking, personal care, and activities. There are always two people working shifts, where both active night and standby time (on-call time) are included.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is secure, attentive, flexible, and has a genuine interest in people with autism. Ideally, you should be smoke-free and have a driver's license. Previous experience in the profession is an advantage but not a requirement. Great importance is placed on personal chemistry as the interaction between the client and the personal assistant is very important. We are looking for two people who are interested in stepping in as needed already this summer but also continuing into the fall and beyond.

You are an honest and reliable person who genuinely enjoys working and you have the ability to create a harmonious atmosphere around you. You should have great empathy, patience, and the ability to understand another person's situation and be very attentive. We are looking for someone who has experience working as a personal assistant or has other experience that may be equivalent. As a person, you have good social skills, consider the whole client's needs, are meticulous and responsible, and have a good demeanor.

Working hours and employment rate:

Full-time, part-time, and extra as needed.

Working hours: Days, evenings, and weekends.
