Ramsta School is located west of Uppsala city center in a beautiful cultural landscape. We have about 335 students in grades F-6 and just over 30 employees. We actively work with pedagogical development and participate in an EU project with a school in Spain, funded by EU grants, aimed at developing students' ability to think. Since we have access to a fantastic outdoor environment with an associated school forest, we conduct part of our pedagogical work outdoors.

Our proximity to nature and access to our own school forest gives us fantastic opportunities for outdoor education. Some of the teaching is therefore conducted outdoors to create variation, increased motivation, and a joyful learning experience in harmony with the surroundings. Description of Work Tasks

50% of your assignment will involve being responsible for and developing our after-school activities by participating in the development of methods and pedagogy at the after-school center. This includes conducting educational activities both outdoors and indoors. You are expected to contribute your pedagogical knowledge based on the after-school center's compensatory mission and drive pedagogical development to ensure meaningful content in the after-school program.

50% of your assignment is to teach music in grades 1-6, where you plan and implement teaching according to the curriculum and collaborate with other school staff to create a good working environment. You are expected to actively participate in the school's development work and conduct an adapted pedagogical activity based on both individual and group needs and conditions.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a Swedish teaching license with authorization for after-school centers and teaching music in grades 1-6. To succeed in this role, you need to have a good understanding of the school's and after-school center's governing documents as well as the primary school's curriculum. The work requires that you have good oral and written skills in the Swedish language.

We would also like you to have authorization to teach home economics. If you have experience working in after-school centers, it is considered an advantage.

As a person, you are pedagogical and have an understanding of people's different conditions for absorbing knowledge. You are flexible and easily adapt to changing circumstances. Furthermore, you are outgoing and socially active in professional contexts. The job suits you if you collaborate and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner. Last but not least, you plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.
