Department of Literature and Rhetoric

The Department of Literature and Rhetoric currently has around 30 active teachers, researchers, and doctoral students.

There are two main subjects: literature studies and rhetoric. Education is provided at all levels, from basic courses to doctoral training. Information about the department can be found at http://www.littvet.uu.se (http://www.littvet.uu.se).

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher at the department, you will independently teach and supervise in the subject of literature studies at the undergraduate level, primarily within the framework of the Literature Program and in standalone courses in literature studies. Teaching within the teacher education program (subject Swedish) is also included. You will also handle administrative tasks and other common duties at the department.

Qualifications

You must have a PhD in literature studies and experience in teaching literature studies, literary sociological theories and methods, as well as publishing knowledge. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and qualities such as excellent collaboration skills, good ability to take initiative, and good ability to implement, follow up, and develop activities in cooperation with the department. You must have a very good ability to express yourself in both spoken and written Swedish and English. You should also have experience with course responsibility and thesis examination.

Desirable/Meritorious

It is meritorious if you have previously worked in Ladok and Studium.

About the Position

The position is temporary, approximately 5 months. The scope is 25%. Start date is 2026-02-01 or by agreement. Location: Uppsala
