The Experience Administration is responsible for cultural, sports, and leisure issues in Enköping and has about 130 employees with extensive expertise in two areas of operation and a management team. We are in an expansive phase, including the renovation and development of the cultural house Joar and a new youth center with a sports hall in Lillsidan.

Enköping's cultural school, which is part of the Experience Administration, is a medium-sized cultural school with about 25 teachers, including 2 dance teachers.

The vision of the cultural school is to be a center for aesthetic learning processes in Enköping Municipality and to provide all children and young people in Enköping the opportunity to develop their very best selves through accessible and high-quality activities.

The cultural school collaborates with primary schools, high schools, youth centers, after-school clubs, and many other activities within the municipality and civil society.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a new dance teacher who will initially work one day a week, approximately 20%, with the intention of working 40-50% within a couple of years.

You will work alongside 25 colleagues in various subjects, where you will meet approximately 2,200 children and young people in different courses each week.

In this first step, you will primarily work with children's dance and jazz dance for children aged 7-9 years. The position is scheduled for Mondays in the cultural school's dance hall in central Enköping. The day may be possible to adjust.

It is an advantage if you have a breadth in your dance skills, as it will be easier to expand the position in the long term.

In the long run, the idea is for you to work both with outreach activities and course activities within the cultural school's area and also reach new participants, for example, through open activities, holiday activities, and mobile activities. In this assignment, you will collaborate with educators at the cultural school as well as with various activities and administrations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a competent educator with a university degree in dance or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. We consider it an advantage if you have experience working with children and young people in various dance styles.

For this position, you need to have good digital skills and be used to handling social media. In addition, you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, and proficiency in additional languages is seen as positive. It is also advantageous if you have experience working with open activities and/or event organization and cultural activities. Since we operate throughout the municipality in our work, we would like you to have a B driver's license.

The work as a cultural school educator requires a high degree of personal maturity and a good pedagogical sense. You have a well-developed creative ability and find it easy to collaborate with participants, colleagues, and other stakeholders. You are structured, self-driven, adaptable, and enjoy trying new working methods.
