Job Description

The Network Technician is part of a team that works with the operation and maintenance of Windows Server environments and related components. The team consists of about 10 technicians responsible for the availability of approximately 2,000 virtual servers.

Responsibilities

• Operation and installation of virtual servers including surrounding infrastructure, such as networks, virtual environments, and hardware resources
• Management of alarms and incidents in the Windows Server platform
• Operation and installation of applications to functionality, including configuration of MS SQL
• Work with certificates, such as creating, renewing, and troubleshooting
• Work with federation using ADFS, including setup and troubleshooting
• Drive efforts for automation and efficiency using PowerShell

Mandatory Requirements

• At least 8 years of work experience with Microsoft Windows Server (currently version 2019 and 2022) in organizations with more than 10 domains
• At least 8 years of work experience with Microsoft Active Directory, ADFS, DNS, and management of Windows firewall
• At least 5 years of experience working with Azure AD/AD Connect
• At least 5 years of experience working with JEA (Just Enough Administration)
• At least 7 years of experience with PowerShell

Desirable Requirements

• At least 4 years of work experience from a government agency with at least 10,000 employees
• Experience managing large amounts of user data with sensitive information from a security perspective, preferably within the public sector
