As our CTO, you will be the technical leader behind our new SaaS platform. You will start hands-on with code, infrastructure, and architecture, gradually shifting focus towards leadership, coaching, and strategic planning as the team grows. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building things, values quality and transparency, and can communicate technology clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the technical vision and architecture for our multi-tenant SaaS platform
• Build and lead the engineering team from the ground up, including recruitment and interviews
• Hands-on development and infrastructure (about 70% initially, about 20% later)
• Own architectural decisions, code quality, and cloud infrastructure on Azure
• Drive cost awareness in the cloud and build efficient systems
• Collaborate with product owners and founders to prioritize the roadmap
• Participate in customer demonstrations and technical pre-sales conversations
• Mentor team members and develop future technical leaders
• Establish agile practices, DevOps, and post-release support
• Ensure data security and best practices across the platform

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience building and scaling multi-tenant SaaS applications
• Strong background in Node.js and TypeScript
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL, schema design, query optimization, and data integrity
• Experience with Azure and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Familiar with identity systems, preferably Keycloak
• Understands API design and gateway patterns
• Proactive regarding cloud costs and data security
• Has experience building and leading development teams
• Comfortable with customer presentations and technical sales support
• Strong communication skills and can explain technology simply
• Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in telemarketing or financial SaaS solutions
• Knowledge of Nordic financial systems like Fortnox
• GDPR experience
• Proficiency in Swedish
