As an Operations Specialist at BITS DATA, you will be responsible, together with the team, for: operations, incident management, monitoring, and maintenance, ensuring that our systems are always available. The role also involves participation in projects and being a crucial part of the support and emergency chain.

You will succeed in the role by:

  • Ensuring operations – monitoring systems, managing incidents, and ensuring high availability.
  • Optimizing collaborations – working closely with partners and suppliers to improve the operational environment.
  • Troubleshooting and maintaining – installations, configurations, and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Improving and developing – driving security, processes, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Working proactively – understanding customer needs and contributing solutions that create value.

You will be part of a team of technicians and operations engineers. We value openness, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a positive work environment. Together, we strive to maintain a stable infrastructure and continuously improve our operational processes.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is driven and can work independently as well as part of a team. You are open to learning new things and exploring new technologies in operations. You have an interest in working with one foot in the existing environment with older systems running on physical servers, and one foot in newer cloud environments, while being involved in transformation.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience and deep knowledge of networking or technical project management?
  • At least 3 years of experience with servers, system operations, and incident management?
  • Knowledge and interest in IT and information security.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and working methods.
  • Drive and commitment to develop within your field.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Practical conditions for the role

  • Flexibility regarding working hours – availability for evenings and about 6–10 weekends/year
  • Be present at the office in Moraberg, Södertälje

Meritorious

  • Academic degree in IT or engineering
  • Knowledge of ITIL or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with IAM, Azure AD, or Intune.
