The Role of Support Educator with Us

As a support educator, you work to ensure that our tenants have a daily life that is clear, safe, and easy to understand.

You strive for each individual to be able to participate and engage based on their own conditions.

The role also includes being a role model for colleagues and providing support in various parts of the work. This may involve assisting contact persons, providing guidance on interaction and methods, as well as contributing knowledge in social documentation and IBIC. You also support the educational work and help to highlight needs that can lead to development and improvements. The goal is to enhance the quality of support for our tenants and create the best possible conditions for their daily lives.

Your Profile

We would like you to have the ability to create a pleasant environment and that you find it easy to work in a team. It is also an advantage if you can adapt to changing circumstances and maintain your calm in stressful situations. You need to have the willingness to try to understand others' situations and adapt accordingly. As a person, you are solution-focused, unpretentious, and structured. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who:

• has education as a support educator, social educator, social worker, or other post-secondary education that the employer deems equivalent
• has experience working with a similar target group
• is familiar with documentation and writing as well as following up on implementation plans

It is meritorious if you have:

• work experience and competence in the area of autism
• experience with visual support and signs as support

Bäckmansgård is centrally located in Kungsbacka, in the Varla area, close to Kungsmässan and the city center. Bäckmansgård is a small group home with five apartments aimed at adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, or autism-like conditions. It is important that the residence and service provide opportunities for an independent life.

Our Offer and Additional Information

We offer a permanent full-time position starting by agreement. The work is scheduled for day/evening/every other weekend. Overnight duty may also occur.

Within the Department of Individual & Family Care, all employees within Housing with Special Services and Support at Home are employed full-time but have the opportunity to reduce to the desired employment level based on the needs of the operation.
