Job Description

Do you want to be part of creating vital change for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment pedagog at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a treatment pedagog, you work in a team together with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for ensuring that the young people and clients living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified care and motivational work and provide support in everyday life. With the support of your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the implementation of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work and contributes, among other things, to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You contribute to maintaining safety according to our routines and help ensure that everyday life runs smoothly with schooling, cleaning, cooking, etc. Being a contact person is also one of your tasks. The work may also include mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for you who see a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in a difficult life situation. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Our vision is to be a place for change, and this permeates our approach, our commitment, and our attitude.

Working hours are according to a schedule of days, evenings, and weekends.

As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training combines theory with a guided introduction and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS operations.

As a person, you are secure in yourself and find it easy to build relationships with young people as well as with other staff members. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in pressured situations. You find it easy to collaborate with others and can handle conflicts constructively.

You should also have:

  • A degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work or education from a university that we assess as equivalent
  • A valid driver's license (B)
