Case Manager for Children and Youth at Lidingö Municipality
Are you passionate about ensuring that the interventions granted to children and youth by social services are effective? Then we warmly welcome your application!
We are located in modern premises in the Lidingö city hall right in the center of Lidingö. With a bus stop outside our doors, the travel time to Stockholm city is short. For those who drive, there are parking spaces available and the option to apply for a parking permit for 500 SEK/year. With wellness benefits, wellness hours, and a nice gym available where employees in the city hall hold classes, there are plenty of opportunities to keep that New Year’s resolution to take care of yourself a little extra!
We belong to the Department of Care and Social Services, which is one of our six departments in Lidingö Municipality. We have about 800 employees working to support our residents through all stages of life. We work with elderly care, social psychiatry, disability services, and individual and family care. We always put the individual's needs at the center.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a case manager, you will follow up on the interventions granted by investigative social workers to children and youth aged 0-20 years. This includes both outpatient interventions and placements in the form of HVB, supported housing, SiS, and co-placements with LSS. You will follow the case, ensure that the granted intervention yields results, and actively work to increase protective factors. We strive to work according to the Signs of Safety approach.
You will also conduct preliminary assessments regarding the children whose cases you handle, but in cases of greater concern, the investigation will be handed over to an investigator while you continue to follow the intervention. The unit is working to review all routines and adapt them to the new organization. We look forward to benefiting from your experiences and insights on various issues. We formalize cooperation with the police through BoB, collaborate with the field and prevention unit for an increased shared situational awareness over Lidingö, and further develop cooperation with adult services for the youth who will need continued support after their 20th birthday. Therefore, you need to enjoy collaboration and cooperation with the aim of providing coordinated support to the residents of Lidingö.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. You have at least 2 years of experience in public authority work related to children and youth. We prefer that you are familiar with the methods available within the Signs of Safety approach. It is advantageous if you have training in MI and the Ester assessment tool.
As a person, you are secure and stable. You have good collaboration skills and are adept at creating and maintaining relationships. Furthermore, you are used to working in a structured manner and taking great responsibility for your tasks.
