About the position

We are currently looking for someone to work as a substitute personal assistant in the evenings for a woman in her 30s. She has a spinal cord injury and lives in Fagersjö near Farsta.

We are looking for someone who wants to work in the evenings as needed, both weekdays and weekends, between 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM.

Assistive devices include, among others, tracheostomy, cough machine, and lift. Part of the introduction involves several full-day training sessions at Danderyd Hospital with both practical and theoretical training to handle these assistive devices correctly.

The tasks are as follows:

  • Assist with daily routines such as household chores.

  • Tracheostomy care.

  • Assist with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, and during meals.

  • Lifting may occur during transfers (assistive devices are available).

  • Your workplace is where the client is located.

  • Social interaction.

About you

We believe that you who are applying for this position are a person who enjoys working with people and can see the needs of others. As a person, you are attentive, proactive, and solution-focused.

You have a strong work ethic and are flexible. You possess a calm demeanor and are secure in yourself. You need to have a good sense of the situation and can read situations well.

The work varies in pace according to the client's needs and daily life, so it is important that you are responsive to the client's needs. You also need to be comfortable taking a more passive role.

It is an advantage if you have: Professional experience working with spinal cord injuries or tracheostomy.

Requirements:

  • Non-smoker.

  • Physically strong, manual transfers occur.

  • Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Scope: 2 substitutes as needed.

Start date: Interviews are ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other compensations in accordance with collective agreements.

To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.
