I am a 61-year-old man living in Upplands-Väsby with my family. I have a neurological condition and am looking for a personal assistant to help me in my daily life. I use a wheelchair, so you will need to be my extended hands and legs. The tasks include everything from assistance during meals, hygiene, dressing/undressing, and household chores to enabling the assistance user to be a parent, spouse, work, engage in leisure activities, socialize with friends, or travel. Therefore, your workplace will be wherever I am.

I go for rehabilitation abroad every year, and assistants are expected to accompany me on these trips.

I train for rehabilitation several times a week, and I need you as physical support. You need to be able to swim (join me for water aerobics) and cycle with me.

The position starts as a part-time job as needed and during the absence of regular staff, but there is a possibility for a fixed schedule and full-time employment in the future. The working hours are scheduled as follows:

• Working hours for this client are distributed across morning, day, and evening shifts, Mon-Sun.

About YouThe qualities I am looking for in applicants are that you are proactive, empathetic, and responsible. It is important that you can work independently. Previous experience as an assistant is also advantageous, and if you enjoy (and can or are willing to learn) cooking good food, that is a plus. As a personal assistant with us, you play a crucial role in creating a safe and meaningful everyday life for our client. You will be an important part of their life and contribute to their independence and well-being. We believe that you, as an applicant for this position, are someone who is attentive, flexible, and cooperative. The most important thing is that there is a good personal chemistry between you as the applicant and the client. This may become decisive in the final selection.Requirements:

• Must be able to travel for work and be away for a few days,
• Must be able to cycle,
• Must be able to swim and participate in activities that involve swimming.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in healthcare and particularly in personal assistance,
• An interest in cooking.
