Your Future Challenge

Do you want to work with product development throughout the entire chain and support our designers with strength calculations from concept idea to manufactured product?

The Design section currently supports the Ground Support Equipment department with design and construction assignments across all domains, and we are responsible for delivering the most cost-effective and maintainable products based on given requirements. As the demand for our services continues to grow, we are looking for a new engaged and structured colleague.

The tasks can vary in both complexity and area, which requires you to easily adapt to new tasks and not be afraid of challenges. The work involves many points of contact, primarily within the company but may also involve contacts with suppliers and customers.

Furthermore, the work involves setting up and performing strength calculations for colleagues' construction work based on predefined assignments, as well as producing calculation reports that serve as the basis for product approvals in the PDM system.

The job may involve some travel to our sections in other locations, to our customers, and to the Armed Forces' units. Your placement will be at our Saab site in Malmslätt, Linköping.

Who You Are Today

We are looking for someone who is interested in technology and wants to be part of where it happens! As a person, you find it easy to collaborate with others, are flexible, and can work on multiple assignments simultaneously. You have a well-developed sense of clarity, structure, and order while making things happen. You have an analytical streak and contribute concrete ideas and solutions in our assignments and for our products. It is important to us that you understand customer value and appreciate high quality.

We believe you are an engineering graduate with a few years of work experience, or a bachelor's degree with several years of work experience in strength calculations and report preparation for newly developed and existing products. If you have experience with airborne maintenance equipment or other types of aviation material, we consider it highly meritorious. The work is performed in the calculation tool ANSYS, the CAD tool Autodesk Inventor, and the PDM system Vault, so experience with these systems is also highly meritorious.

You handle Swedish and English well in both spoken and written form and hold a driver's license with at least category B.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for certain citizenship.

What You Will Be Part Of

The Aeronautics business area is an innovative supplier of world-class aircraft systems and offers a wide range of support solutions within civil and military aviation. Within the business area, research, development, and production of military aircraft systems are conducted. We secure the future of the aviation industry through research and studies of innovative flight systems and further development of our products.

As an employee at Aeronautics, you will be part of an organization characterized by diversity, collaboration, and supportive teamwork, where continuous learning and work-life balance are highly valued. You will work in an innovative and creative work environment where you have the opportunity to build a long-term and rewarding career.

You will be part of the Design section, which is part of the Ground Support Equipment Department (GSE) with operations in Linköping, Arboga, and Östersund. The department works with business and projects aimed at the maintenance systems for Gripen, T7-A, the Armed Forces' aircraft and helicopters, as well as facilities and hangars.
