About Us

We are now looking for a medical secretary with interest and commitment to psychiatry and addiction. Our reception is located in central Hisingen. The target group is very diverse, all over 18 years old with complex needs due to substance use disorders and more severe psychiatric illnesses. In the psychiatric team, which works from a cross-professional perspective, we have both doctors, nurses, social workers, and caregivers. The operations are conducted during daytime on weekdays without weekends.

About the Job

At the Addiction Reception Hisingen, you as a medical secretary are an important team member. Daily tasks include staffing our reception where you and your colleagues are the face of the organization and the first person the patient meets during their visit. This also includes standard tasks such as documentation in the Melior journal system, KVÅ coding, registration/booking of visits in Elvis, handling incoming calls from patients, relatives, and healthcare neighbors, as well as managing other healthcare administrative systems.

About You

We are looking for someone with education in health and medical administration or equivalent approved medical/doctor secretary training. Previous experience in psychiatric outpatient care with a focus on addiction issues is an advantage. You have good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, good IT skills, and can quickly familiarize yourself with and work in new IT systems.

You are interested in being the administrative support of the organization. You need to enjoy working flexibly and like being our "spider in the web". Since the position involves daily contact with many people, we expect you to have good collaboration skills, be used to taking your own initiative, and be able to organize your work independently. You are meticulous and have a good attitude towards patients.
