Welcome to the Radiology Department at Alingsås Hospital

The hospitals in the west are an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consist of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. About 3000 employees work with us every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare of the highest quality.

The radiology department has a broad general radiological operation with CT, MRI, ultrasound, minor interventions, and conventional examinations.

We are about 35 employees who together perform over 43,000 examinations per year, in the radiology department's newly renovated facilities. We use a rotation schedule with individual variation, working days, evenings, and weekends. We only have on-call duty at night as the emergency department at Alingsås Hospital closes at 9:00 PM.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed radiographer. You master Swedish in speech and writing. You enjoy working in a team and find it easy to collaborate. You appreciate a creative and pleasant working environment and are keen to contribute to such an environment. You are interested in being part of developing the work and the operation. A patient-focused job is a given for you. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Clinical Foundation Year

For you who are a newly graduated nurse/radiographer, a Clinical Foundation Year is included during the first year of your permanent employment. The Clinical Foundation Year includes lectures, process-oriented nursing guidance, and practical training of your profession at the Simulation Center. It also includes shadowing in other operations to give you a broader understanding of the hospital where you work. This is an investment made to give you the opportunity to further develop in your profession and build your professional identity.
