Do you want to help develop the future of social services?
The Care Administration is now looking for three coordinators for a new preventive unit within the Authority Department.
The positions are part of a larger development and restructuring effort to meet the new Social Services Act (SoL), focusing on early interventions, outreach work, and strengthened collaboration. We warmly welcome your application!
About us
The Care Administration is responsible for care and support for elderly individuals and people with disabilities. The Authority Department has about forty employees who work to provide a professional response and a legally secure assessment, striving for high quality and efficiency in our work. The department's caseworkers investigate, make decisions, and follow up on interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS), Housing Adaptation Grants (Bab), Transport Services/National Transport Services, and manage fees according to SoL. Senior caseworkers for SoL and LSS, two deputy department heads within their respective legal frameworks, a department head, and an administrative coordinator are available for support.
What does the work involve?
The unit will be established as a time-limited project for two years. The project will be led by a project manager and conducted in close collaboration with the department head and deputy department heads.
The purpose of the project format is to enable development, establish, and evaluate new working methods in line with the new Social Services Act, as well as to ensure that organization, staffing, and distribution of responsibilities are appropriate before a possible permanent implementation.
As a coordinator, you will among other things:
- Work proactively and preventively in environments where needs can be identified early, such as hospitals, health centers, schools, meeting points, and other gathering places.
- Identify risks and needs and initiate and coordinate early and preventive interventions.
- Collaborate with the department's caseworkers and external actors to create coordinated, needs-based, and sustainable interventions for citizens.
- Contribute to continuity, participation, and security for individuals.
- Participate in the development of routines, work processes, and follow-up within the preventive unit.
- Document, decide, and follow up on interventions based on applicable legislation and guidelines.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another qualification deemed equivalent by the employer. You are a stable and structured person with good judgment and strong collaboration skills. The work requires you to be able to work independently and have the ability to adapt your communication according to the recipient to ensure that information is conveyed clearly and appropriately.
Previous experience in case management or other social work is highly meritorious, and good knowledge of applicable legislation is a requirement. We would also prefer if you have training in motivational interviewing (MI). It is also an advantage if you have several years of experience in case management and work within social services.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability. You are confident in your professional role, have a professional approach, and enjoy working in change. You have the ability to create and maintain trusting relationships with both citizens and partners.
Our offer
With us, you will find a flexible workplace where the organization is constantly developing in a positive spirit. We have good cohesion, care for each other, and value an open, permissive, and unpretentious work climate.
As an employee, you will receive:
- A meaningful and developing assignment in an organization undergoing change.
- The opportunity to help build a new preventive unit.
- Competent and engaged colleagues.
- Support from project management and close collaboration with the functions of the Authority Department.
A department that values each employee's ideas and engagement. Good communication opportunities with proximity to subway, tram, and buses. Annual working hours, vacation exchange, wellness grants, employee support, and professional development.
