Part-time Job as a Personal Assistant Needed for 12-Year-Old Boy

We are now looking for a secure, empathetic, and responsible personal assistant for a 12-year-old boy who lives with his family and requires assistance both at home and in school.

The boy has extensive disabilities and epilepsy, which means he needs a lot of support and supervision in his daily life. He primarily communicates through body language and presence, so it is important that you as an assistant are attentive, patient, and willing to get to know him to understand his signals and needs. Safe touch and physical closeness are an important part of his daily life.

Job Responsibilities:

You will support him in all parts of the day, including:

• Personal care, hygiene, and dressing/undressing
• Presence and stimulation
• Meal situations (feeding tube may occur)
• Supervision and support related to epilepsy

We are looking for someone who:

• Is calm, kind, responsible, and organized
• Can work independently but also collaborate with family and staff
• Dares to ask questions and is comfortable seeking support when unsure

Meritorious:

• Experience working with children
• Experience with disabilities, epilepsy, or feeding tubes
• Training in CPR and/or FFT

Other

• Working hours: day and evening
• Non-smoker
• Driver's license is not required, but you need to be able to be on site by 7:00 AM

Previous experience is not required but is considered meritorious if you have a background in care and assistance or working with children. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in creating security, continuity, and good relationships. We would like you to want to work long-term.
