About the workplace

The mission of the Social Administration is to provide individualized support and services in elderly care, disability services, child & family services, adult services, and financial assistance. We are here for the community residents through all stages of life and work to create security, participation, and good quality of life.

The reception unit is the hub of the social administration's operations and serves as the public face. For many citizens, the unit is the first contact with the administration, which places high demands on professionalism, accessibility, and response. We are proud to offer a safe, welcoming, and high-quality service.

The unit consists of 26 employees and is led by a unit manager along with three group leaders responsible for administration, child & youth and family law, financial assistance, and adult services, including housing adaptation, national travel service, and estate management.

We are now looking for you who want to work with us while studying to become a social worker.

You are driven, engaged, and have a genuine interest in social work as well as a desire to contribute to the development of the organization. With us, you will have the opportunity to develop and gain valuable experience. The work will primarily focus on areas such as child & youth, financial assistance, and adult services.

What we are looking for in you

To succeed in the role, you have:

studies in social work.
some form of experience in public administration from, for example, an internship.
good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.

It is advantageous if you have:

experience working in a reception group
knowledge of Signs of Safety and motivational interviewing (MI)
experience working with children, youth, or adults
knowledge of a language other than Swedish

As a person, you are calm, stable, and flexible. You have good collaboration skills, can build relationships, and communicate clearly. You will work with short contacts and urgent situations, which requires you to quickly adapt to new situations. You have a good ability to plan, organize, and structure your work. You possess personal maturity and can distinguish between the professional and personal. You maintain a realistic perspective on situations and have good self-awareness.
