About Family Law

The Family Law unit consists of four social workers and is part of the family unit. The unit also includes an investigation group for ages 0-20, family care, and family therapists. The unit is led by a unit manager and three group leaders. In total, the unit consists of 24 employees. In the workgroup, we take joint responsibility for the children and young people we come into contact with.

Your role

As a family law secretary, you will handle investigations regarding custody, residence, and visitation, parenting investigations, and facilitate collaboration discussions. You will also handle adoption investigations and other customary tasks within family law. The group is currently engaged in a development project where social workers will regularly lead children's groups (My parents are divorced and Children in parents' focus (BIFF)). In family law, we support parents in achieving lasting solutions regarding custody, residence, and visitation, and we work to highlight the child's perspective in the conflict and to work preventively for the child's best interests. With collaboration in focus and a systemic perspective, we work to prevent and improve support for children and families in custody conflicts.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in social work
• Experience working with family law
• Understanding and good knowledge of current legislation in relevant areas.
• Good ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing.

Upon employment, a degree certificate and an extract from the Police's criminal record will be requested.

The Social Services Department is responsible for the care of persons with disabilities, individual and family care, financial assistance, and labor market measures as well as field and leisure activities.
