Do you want to help shape the future healthcare environments in Region Kronoberg?

The Program Office is a guiding and cohesive function that works to ensure that the operations of Region Kronoberg have suitable premises that support both current and future working methods. We conduct strategic planning together with the relevant operations, initiate feasibility studies, analyze, and develop qualified decision-making materials, which we then present to management groups and political bodies.

We are currently facing several exciting assignments – the development of Växjö Hospital and Ljungby Hospital, as well as premises for, for example, forensic psychiatry, primary care, and dental care. To accomplish this task, we now need to strengthen our team with two local strategists. Are you one of them?

In Region Kronoberg, we are 6,500 people working for the best of Kronoberg – every day! We are responsible for healthcare, public transport, regional development, and culture in the county. Our goal is for our employees to thrive, grow in their professional roles, and be able to influence their workday.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of local strategist involves strategic work in planning and developing premises for healthcare operations. The focus is on creating long-term sustainable solutions that support both the needs of the operations and the region's overall strategies.

In your role as a local strategist, you will work with some or all of the following tasks:

  • Overall coordination of small and medium-sized construction projects, where the Program Office is the internal client to Regionfastigheter.
  • Development of concepts, key figures, and strategies for the sizing of Region Kronoberg's premises.
  • Development of local supply plans for healthcare operations, initially focusing on hospital care, which is a central part of the planning of new hospital buildings.
  • Together with other support functions, develop qualified decision-making materials for senior officials and politicians ahead of, for example, larger property investments.

QUALIFICATIONS

A higher education in a relevant field is required for the position, such as healthcare professions, urban planning, architectural engineering, or other education deemed equivalent. Documented experience of strategic work with local supply is advantageous, especially within public operations.

The role of local strategist requires both analytical and strategic work, with the ability to translate analyses into concrete planning proposals. The work is cross-functional and in close collaboration with the region's various operations, which requires good analytical skills, collaboration, and clear communication with a focus on common goals.

It is important to have a structured approach and be able to plan and organize tasks as well as follow established processes. The role also requires confidence in the professional role and the ability to act with integrity and clarity in complex situations, while maintaining a respectful and solution-oriented approach.
