Job Description

We are looking for experienced and technically driven engineers with broad expertise in both HIL development and testing. In this role, you will develop, improve, and maintain advanced xIL environments, conduct system testing, and contribute to stable, automated testing chains. You will work closely with software and system development teams and take responsibility for problem-solving through troubleshooting, analysis, and method development.

About the Role

As a senior engineer with us, you will work on both development and testing in advanced xIL environments. You will be responsible for rig development, test design, automation, fault analysis, and continuous improvements of testing and development flows.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will work both strategically and hands-on to develop and update HIL rigs, where you will be responsible for both hardware and software configuration, validation, and technical further development. You will plan, execute, and automate test cases in both HIL and SIL environments, ensuring that the tests maintain high technical quality. The work also involves troubleshooting complex systems, driving advanced root cause analyses, and contributing to creating long-term stable solutions. You will maintain and improve regression chains and CI flows while actively developing testing methods and processes. Together with development and system teams, you will work closely with the business to adapt requirements and test setups in a way that enhances quality throughout the entire development chain.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we see that you have the following experiences:

  • At least 6 years of experience in HIL development and HIL/SIL testing
  • Deep technical understanding of troubleshooting software and hardware systems
  • Good knowledge of Python/CAPL
  • Good knowledge of dSpace and Vector tools (Controldesk, Model desk, Aurelion, Configuration desk, CANoe)
  • Experience with CI/CD, automation, and testing methodologies
  • Experience with vehicle systems, communication buses (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.)

Preferred:

  • Experience with model-based development (Simulink, etc.)
  • Experience in ADAS/AD
  • Knowledge of functional safety (e.g., ISO 26262)
  • Experience with scenario-based testing (OpenSCENARIO/OpenDRIVE)
  • Knowledge of software downloading, diagnostics, and signal handling

You take responsibility for your work and independently drive tasks forward, while clearly communicating and collaborating with others to achieve the best results. Since the role involves both internal and external contacts, good communication skills in Swedish and English are crucial. Some assignments may also be security classified, which means you need to hold citizenship from a nation affiliated with NATO.
