About the position

In the role of developer in Smart Manufacturing, you will work closely with production, operations, and IT to develop robust, secure, and future-proof solutions within industrial digitalization and data management. You will be an important part of translating operational needs into technical solutions that work in reality.

You will belong to an agile solution team and work on several parallel and exciting initiatives. The team consists of, among others, a team lead/scrum master, solution architect, business analyst, and developers. Together, you are responsible for architecture, technology choices, integrations, and continuous improvement of the solutions.

Examples of tasks

- Develop and maintain IIoT solutions based on, for example, Ignition and HighByte

- Integrate and configure SCADA systems for stable and secure communication between industrial systems

- Work with Unified Namespace (UNS) to create a unified and scalable data model

- Configure and program PLCs for control and monitoring of industrial processes

- Build data flows from source systems such as ERP, MES, and SCADA to visualization in, for example, Grafana, hosted in a Kubernetes environment.

Qualifications

- Practical experience from production or industrial environments

- Education in automation technology, industrial IT, or programming/data management (YH/KY or college/university)

- For example, an engineer in electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar

- Alternatively, computer science with a focus on real-time systems/industrial systems

- Practical experience in the development and maintenance of IIoT solutions

- Experience with SCADA systems and industrial integrations (Ignition or Kepware is a plus)

- Good understanding of industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA and MQTT

- Knowledge of PLC programming and configuration

- Good programming skills in industrial applications

Meritorious

- Experience with UNS or similar industrial data modeling (HighByte Intelligence Hub is a plus)

- Programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar

- SQL and database management

- Grafana for visualization and monitoring

- Version control with Git

- Kubernetes and container-based environments

- Experience with Machine Learning and/or Computer Vision in industrial contexts

Location: Gothenburg
This is a fixed-term employment with NXT Interim Göteborg AB for the period March 2026 - February 2027 with a possible extension. We apply collective agreements. The position may be subject to security clearance requirements according to applicable security protection regulations. This means requirements for approved background checks and, in some cases, specific citizenship requirements.
